GRAMMAR PRESENT PERFECT- PAST SIMPLE
EXTRA GRAMMAR EXERCISES
Verleden tijd zonder –ing vorm = Past Simple (o.v.t.)
Vorm: regelmatige
werkwoorden --> werkwoord + ed
rain --> rainedask --> asked
hate --> hated
decide --> decided
cry --> cried
(vergelijk play -->played)
onregelmatige werkwoorden --> 2e rijtje
go - went - gone
see - saw - seen
Vragend en ontkennend maken
Vragend:
Phoebe was at home.
Was
Phoebe at home? ANDERS! Gebruik did + het hele werkwoord
They always worked hard.
Did they always work hard?
She bought a lot of fruit every week.
Did she buy a lot of fruit every day?
Ontkennend met WAS/ WERE -->Zet
not (n’t) achter het hulpwerkwoord
Phoebe was at home.
Phoebe
wasn’t at home.ANDERS: Gebruik didn’t + het hele werkwoord
They worked hard.
They didn’t work hard.
She bought a lot of fruit every week.
She didn’t buy a lot of fruit every week.
Gebruik:
voorbij. Er staat heel vaak een tijdsbepaling (last week, some time ago,
yesterday, when I was a child, in 2002) in de zin.
He went to London
yesterday
The
train passed two minutes ago.
LET OP!
Een veel gemaakte fout is
het volgende:
In het nederlands kunnen
we zeggen: Hij ontmoette
haar 10 jaar geleden
of: Hij heeft haar 10 jaar geleden ontmoet.
Het engels heeft maar 1
vertaling: He met her ten years ago.
vertaling: He met her ten years ago.
Dus: Ik heb
verleden week een nieuwe auto gekocht = I bought a new car last
week.
De dief heeft gisteren veel geld gestolen = The thief stole a lot of money yesterday.
Zij zijn gisterenavond niet uitgegaan = They didn’t go out last night.
Ik heb zaterdag een spannende
film gezien = I saw an exciting film last Saturday.
De tijdsbepaling
in de zin maakt het vertalen moeilijk. In de volgende zinnen staat geen
tijdsbepaling. In deze zinnen mag je heb/hebben/heeft wel gewoon met have/has
vertalen.
Ik heb hem gezien = I
have seen him
We hebben een auto
gekocht = We have bought a car.
De dief heeft veel
geld gestolen = The thief has stolen a lot of money.
PRESENT PERFECT TENSE
Have/has + voltooid deelwoord / voltooid tegenwoordige tijd = present perfect (v.t.t.)
Vorm: has (3e persoon enkelvoud = he, she, it) / have (overig = I, you, we, they)
+ voltooid
deelwoord. Het voltooid deelwoord
wordt als volgt gemaakt:
regelmatige werkwoorden -->werkwoord + ed
rain --> rained
ask --> asked
hate --> hateddecide --> decided
cry --> cried
(vergelijk: play --> played)
go - went - gone
see - saw - seen
Vragend en ontkennend maken
Has the train arrived?
The
train has arrived.
The
train hasn’t arrived
Gebruik:
jaarThey have lived here for ten years
Hij is bakker sinds januari
He has been a baker since January
